When i try to open the EVE launcher on my mac, it keeps getting stuck on verifying 'EVE Online'. Anyone know how to fix this? EDIT: turns out i was just being impatient. Took a little while for the launcher to verify. The bar looked full and looked like it wasn't responding but it was doing something! Thanks for your suggestion though guys! Steps: Download VLC from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html; get .dmg file; double-click it; it does the progress bar thing where it says Verifying; then nothing happens; see it “mounted” in Finder sidebar with a generic file icon rather than a disc image icon; click on it in hopes of opening it or impelling it to properly install; receive dialogue box saying unable to open as original file cannot be found; feel like an idiot because have definitely successfully downloaded, installed, and used VLC on other Mac; read all the troubleshooting, FAQs, and possibly relevant forum threads; repeat several times to ensure reproducibility.
